BJP Offered Rs 20 Cr Each To Four AAP MLAs To Switch Sides: Sanjay Singh

Attacking the Narendra Modi-led Central Government, AAP leader Sanjay Singh alleged that BJP members offered huge amounts of money to AAP legislators if they break away with AAP.

New Delhi: Following CBI raids and subsequent actions by federal agencies against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in connection with an alleged corruption case in implementation of liquor scam in Delhi, the Aam Aadmi Party held a press conference today and targeted the Centre. During the press conference, AAP leader Sanjay Singh alleged that BJP had threatened AAP MLAs that they will have to face CBI, ED and other false cases if they do not leave their party and join the saffron party.

"Ajay Dutt, Sanjeev Jha, Somnath Bharati and Kuldeep -- have been approached by leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with whom they have "friendly relations".

"They have been offered Rs 20 crore each if they join the party and Rs 25 crore if they bring other MLAs along with them," Singh said.

The AAP MP cornered PM Narendra Modi saying that efforts were being made to bring AAP MLAs into the BJP-fold by "hook or crook" and topple the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government.

AAP MLA Somnath Bharti who was also present in the press conference claimed that one of the BJP members offered him membership of the saffron party but he denied it

Sanjeev Jha also claimed he was offered Rs 20 crore to join BJP and Rs 25 crore if he brought other MLAs with him. He alleged that the BJP member who approached him said that if AAP legislators did not join the BJP "whatever happened with Manish Sisodia will happen with every other MLA".
