Massive show of strength put on by Akhilesh and Shivpal camps in Lucknow

New Delhi: Hundreds of supporters of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and senior Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav today reached the party office in Lucknow to display 'show of strength'. Find out the latest updates on the Samajwadi Party family feud:

• After a patch up in the Yadav family appeared to be on the cards on Friday, a massive of show of strength was put on streets of Lucknow by Akhilesh and Shivpal camps today.

 

• Supporters of both the camps clapped and raised slogans near the Samajwadi Party office.

• The uncle and the nephew who are at loggerheads over the authority to distribute tickets also met at the CM’s residence this morning. The meeting lasted for 10 minutes.

 

• Akhilesh Yadav had announced last night that his disgruntled uncle will be given back his portfolios and Gayatri Prajapati will be reinducted as Cabinet minister, issues which had triggered an all-out war.

 

• The announcements were made as per the compromise formula worked out by Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav who asserted that "There can be no division in the party, till I am there."

 

• Defending 'outsider' Amar Singh, Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Yadav on Friday advised Akhilesh not to develop an ego and to "gain more experience".
