“I rushed to the hospital after seeing messages on social networks and decided to donate the plasma. I knew about the plasma donation procedure since I had done it in the past after recovering from the disease,” a report published in The Times of India quoted Mansoori as saying.
He said the doctors asked him “to have something before plasma donation”.
“So, I had to break my fast and donated my blood,” he added.
Asserting he has fulfilled his duty as a human being, the civil contractor said has no regrets about donating the plasma as it was his responsibility as a human.
“I prayed to Allah that both the patients get well,” he added.
Mansoori further said he has donated plasma thrice and requested all who have recovered from the disease to donate.
