WATCH: Rahul Gandhi Relishes Mysore Pak At Tamil Nadu Sweet Shop, Gifts It To ‘Brother’ MK Stalin

In a fresh video of Rahul Gandhi on Instagram, he can be seen warmly interacting with the staff of a sweet shop in Tamil Nadu, shaking hands, and posing for photographs.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has time and again shared his passion for food during and after election season.  As the Congress gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024, he took some time out of his first poll campaign in Tamil Nadu on Friday and relished the renowned South Indian sweet 'Mysore Pak' before buying some for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. A video on his Instagram account shows him purchasing the much-loved South Indian sweet.

In the video, Rahul Gandhi can be seen warmly interacting with the staff of the sweet shop, shaking hands, and posing for photographs with them as well as other customers. Additionally, he met  Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin in Coimbatore and presented him with the sweet.

In his post, the Wayanad MP wrote, "Adding a touch of sweetness to the campaign trail in Tamil Nadu - bought some Mysore Pak for my brother Thiru Stalin!"

During the first election rally in Tamil Nadu, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi promised to enact legislation aimed at offering apprenticeships to young individuals and ensuring the filling of 30 lakh vacant government positions.

While Addressing, Gandhi also criticised the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). "I know, the people of Tamil Nadu have a big issue with NEET. We are going to leave the decision to the state; on whether you want to do NEET or not to do NEET. NEET is an anti-poor exam and we are more than happy to allow you (Tamil Nadu) to take a decision on whether or not to take the exam," he remarked, as quoted by PTI.

Drawing on the DMK's campaign themes, the Congress leader claimed that the Centre "refused" to provide flood relief to Tamil Nadu when it requested it. The ruling DMK has continuously highlighted the Rs 37,000 crore flood relief that Tamil Nadu requested, claiming that not a single rupee was provided by the Union government.

He outlined the contents of the Congress party's manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and stated that "drastic action" would be taken to give young people jobs if the I.N.D.I.A bloc is elected to power at the center.
