New Delhi: Delhi court has asked police to file the action report on a plea seeking registration of FIR against actress Kangana Ranaut for allegedly promoting enmity between different groups by posting tweets being deemed derogatory.
Patiala House Court has sought the action report from the police as the complainants express concerns if inaction despite sending the legal notice last year.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa, President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara's Management committee and the National Spokesman of Shiromani Akali Dal, termed the development as a "Big Victory" in his tweet.
"We are hopeful that soon she will be behind bars for inciting communal hatred against Farmers & labelling them as terrorists," he added.
Recently, he had alleged that Delhi Police has not registered a case against the actress on the basis of their complaint. Then on March 5, he tweeted to inform that the complaint was finally registered.
This case has been filed in reference to Kangana's tweets against the farmers' protest where the actress has at several points blasted the agitation even going to allege international conspiracy, terming agitators as terrorists.
Now the Delhi Police's action report will reveal what action or probe has been initiated in the matter.
