Kashmir Targeted Killings: Amit Shah Chairs Meeting With Army Chief, NSA To Review Security Situation
Amit Shah had held a meeting over targeted killings in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday as well, hours after a Hindu bank employee was killed in the valley.
New Delhi: Discussing the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir over targeted killings in the union territory, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is chairing a high level security review meeting with J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other officials, reports news agency ANI.
Along with Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and NSA Ajit Doval, other officials that are attending the meeting include Army chief General Manoj Pande, Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla, DG CRPF Kuldiep Singh, Border Security Force chief Pankaj Singh, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbagh Singh and others.

Shah had held a meeting of top officials including NSA Doval to review the security situation in the valley on Thursday as well, hours after a Hindu bank employee was reported to be killed in the valley — eighth targeted killing in the union territory since May 1.
A series of fatal attacks on non-muslims in the valley have been reported since May 1 which has sparked protests by the people from the Kashmiri Pandit community —employed under a prime minister's package in 2012 — threatening mass exodus after a government servant Rahul Bhat was shot dead by terrorists on May 12 in Chadoora area of Budgam district.

On May 18, one person from Jammu was killed and three others injured in Baramulla district of north Kashmir after terrorists had threw a grenade in a wine shop.
A few days later on May 24, On May 24, policeman Saifullah Qadri was shot dead outside his residence in Srinagar while a television artiste Amreen Bhat was gunned down in Budgam two days later.
On Tuesday, a woman teacher from Samba district of Jammu region was killed in Kulgam district.
