This comes weeks after a labourer from Bihar was fired upon by terrorists at Soadnara Sumbal in Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora district. The injured victim later succumbed to his injuries. He was identified as Mohd Amrez, who was from Bihar's Madhepura.

Talking about the incident, Mohd Amrez's brother said, "Around 12.20 am, my brother woke me up and said that a firing has started. He wasn't around, we thought he went to the toilet. We went to check, saw him lying in a pool of blood and we contacted security personnel. He was brought to Hajin and later referred but he died," reported ANI.

Another labourer from Bihar was killed and two others from the same state were injured after a grenade was thrown at them by terrorists in Pulwama district on August 4. The deceased labourer was identified as Mohd Mumtaz. The injured were Mohd Arif and Mohd Majbool, residents of Rampor in Bihar. The terrorists, who are believed to be from the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed(JeM), were heavily armed with deadly ‘steel core’ bullets and were shot down after an over four-hour gun battle.
