J-K: Militants Hurl Grenade At CRPF Bunker In South Kashmir's Bijbehara

New Delhi: Militants lobbed a grenade at a CRPF bunker in the Arwani area of Bijbhera in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Monday, said Jammu and Kashmir Police.
The whole area has been cordoned off to nab the militants.
The incident comes a day after terrorists hurled a grenade at a police party near the post office in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, injuring two officers.

Don't Feel Any Such Need: LG Sinha On Review Of AFSPA In J&K
Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, stated on Monday that there was no need to form a panel to examine the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) in the Union Territory.
Manoj Sinha was asked there was need to set up a panel to review or repeal the AFSPA in Jammu and Kashmir, PTI reported.
While addressing the press conference, Manoj Sinha said, "Do not be concerned about it. I am looking into it. I do not feel any such need (to set up a panel to review it)."
The Centre formed a high-level committee on Sunday, led by a secretary-rank officer, to examine the possibility of lifting the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act in Nagaland following the outrage over the civilian killings in Mon district.
