The module was told to launch large-scale attacks on citizens and security forces in order to instil fear among the general public. The busted terrorist module was being handled from PoK.

In a major breakthrough against the terrorist infrastructure in North Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police along with security forces on Tuesday busted the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist module by arresting two active terrorists and their two important associates including a woman in Bandipora.

"In a major breakthrough against the terrorist infrastructure in North Kashmir, police along with security forces busted LeT terrorist module by arresting two active terrorists and their two important associates including a woman associate in Bandipora," a police spokesman was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

During a cordon and search operation undertaken at Gundbal Nursery by Bandipora Police, 13 Rashtriya Rifles (13RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) apprehended two active terrorists affiliated with the proscribed terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The terrorists have been identified as Musaib Mir alias Moya resident of Rakh Hajin and Arafat Farooq Wagey alias Dr Adil resident of Gulshnabad Hajin, the spokesperson said.

Incriminating materials, a huge cache of arms and ammunition, and materials for making (improvised explosive devices) IEDs were confiscated from their possession.
