J&K: After Curfew, Internet Suspended In Baderwah. Precautionary Restrictions Imposed In Kishtwar
The J&K police said on Thursday that they are monitoring the situation closely and would initiate action against anyone who violated the law and order situation in the valley.
Internet services have been snapped in the Baderwah town of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported. The development came a day after curfew was imposed in the town as tensions erupted due to a social media post. Similar precautionary actions have been taken in the Kishtwar district also as internet services were suspended along with a curfew, said the District Administration.

Curfew was imposed in the town yesterday after tensions erupted due to social media post
Appropriate action has been taken under the law and a case has been registered against the accused in Bhaderwah police station," said a police source, quoted by news agency PTI. "Those who take the law into their hands will not be spared," the source added.
Tensions ensued in the valley after a purported video showing instigating announcement being made from a mosque in Baderwah, Jammu was shared on social media by miscreants which triggered communal tensions in the valley.

According to a report by PTI, the officials said that inflammatory speeches were made during a protest against derogatory remarks made against Prophet Mohammad by now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
"Action has been taken (over inflammatory speeches). A case has been registered under IPC sections 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) at Police Station Bhaderwah," the official said.
This incident comes just days after images of alleged vandalism at Lord Vasuki Nag Temple surfaced on social media earlier this week which had sparked protests at several places resulting in the additional deployment of forces in sensitive areas as reported by the Times Of India.
