IPS Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota Appointed Officiating DGP Of Punjab

IPS Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota has been given the additional charge for the post of Punjab officiating Director General of Police during the leave period of IPS Dinkar Gupta.

New Delhi: IPS Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota has been given the additional charge for the post of Punjab officiating Director General of Police during the leave period of IPS Dinkar Gupta. The 1988-batch officer is currently Special DGP, Armed Bns. Jalandhar. 

The department of Home Affairs and Justice under the Government of Punjab in an order issued on Saturday announced that Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota has been given additional charge of the post of Director General of Police (HoPF), Punjab in addition to his own duties during the leave period of IPS Dinkar Gupta. The order of the Governor of Punjab further said that these orders will come into force with immediate effect.
