‘Insult To Entire Country’: Rahul Shares Report Claiming Students Asked To Clean Toilets For Early Evacuation
The post shared by Gandhi claims that Indian students stranded in Ukraine are being asked to clean toilets, and those who clean them first would be evacuated first.
New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday shared a media report regarding 'Operation Ganga' which claims that Indian students stranded in Ukraine are being asked to clean toilets, and those who clean them first would be evacuated first.
The Wayanad MP called it is an “insult to the entire country.”
Along with this, Gandhi wrote, “Such shameful treatment of compelled students is an insult to the entire country. This bitter truth of #OperationGanga has shown the real face of Modi government.”
Earlier as well, Rahul Gandhi had criticised the central government saying that the efforts made by the government to evacuate Indian nationals from conflict-hit Ukraine were not enough.
He has also demanded clear data and strategy from the Union government that how are they planning to evacuate the rest of the students stranded in Ukraine.
“To avert further tragedy, GOI must share:
- How many students have been evacuated.
- How many are still stranded in Ukraine.
- Region-wise detailed evacuation plan.
We owe a clear strategy & communication to the families involved,” he tweeted on Wednesday.
His comments came after two Indian students have died in Ukraine while one was injured. One of the students was killed in shelling while standing in a queue outside a grocery store, and the other one died of cardiac arrest.
Meanwhile, the Indian government has amplified its efforts to evacuate Indian nationals from Ukraine and its neighbouring countries. Earlier this week, the Indian Air Force has also been included in the operation to speed up the evacuation process.
