"A tail strike has been reported. The DGCA has ordered off rostering of pilots," news agency PTI quoted a DGCA official as saying.

Recently, another flight from Kolkata to Delhi experienced a similar tail strike while landing in the national capital.

According to reports, the IndiGo flight 6E-6183 from Kolkata to Delhi was involved in a tail strike while landing at Delhi.

"During approach on runway 27, the crew felt that they floated longer than normal and initiated a go-around. During the go-around manoeuvre, probably the bottom of the tail portion of the aircraft touched the runway surface and sustained damages," DGCA said in a statement.
