Farakka Express Derail: Indian Railways released a list trains that will be cancelled or diverted after the New Farakka Express train derailed in Rae Bareli district.

Farakka Express Derail: The Indian Railways on Wednesday released a list of trains that are cancelled or diverted after the New Farakka Express train derailed in Rae Bareli district. The Northern Railways has also issued helpline numbers to help passengers and their relatives and give them necessary information. Due to the accident, 13 trains on the route were diverted by the India Railways. A special train is planned ex LKO at 14:00 hrs for clearance of passengers with following the composition. The accident took place in Harchandpur area of Rae Bareli district at 6.10 am where 7 people were killed and 4 were injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal condoled the loss of lives in the train derailment.

1. 14219 /14220 Varanasi-Lucknow-Varanasi Intercity Express Journey Commencing on 10.10.2018 will be short terminated at/short originate from Rae Bareli.
2. 14216 Lcuknow-Allahabad Ganga Gomti Express Journey Commencing on 10.10.2018 will remain cancelled.
3. 14210/14209 Lucknow-Prayag-Lucknow Intercity Journey Commencing on 10.10.2018 will remain cancelled.
4. 54377 Prayag-Bareilly passenger Journey Commencing on 10.10.2018 will be short terminated at Rae Bareli. Consequently, the 54378 Bareilly-Prayag passenger will short originate from Rae Bareli.
5. 14124 Kanpur-Pratapgrah Express Journey Commencing on 10.10.2018 & 14123 Pratapgarh-Kanpur Express Journey Commencing on 11.10.2018  will remain cancelled.

3. 14208 Delhi Jn.-Pratapgarh Padmawat Express Journey Commencing on 09.10.2018 diverted to run via Sultanpur-Pratapgarh.
4. 14266 Dehradun-Varanasi Express Journey Commencing on 09.10.2018 diverted to run via Sultanpur-Zafrabad-Varanasi.
5. 12183 Bhopal-Pratapgarh Express Journey Commencing on 09.10.2018 diverted to run via Sultanpur & it will be short terminated at Sultanpur. Consequently, the 12184 Pratapgarh-Bhopal Express Journey Commencing on 10.10.2018 will short originate from Sultanpur.
