Independence Day 2022: Indian National Flag Waves Atop 'Golden Joint' At World's Highest Railway On Chenab
The railway bridge on Chenab has been constructed under the Konkan Railway Udhampur-Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link Project. The cost of this project is reportedly about Rs 28,000 crore.
New Delhi: The overarching work of the world's highest railway bridge on Chenab being built in Jammu and Kashmir has been completed. The 'golden joint', which is right in the middle of the bridge, was installed on Saturday. After this 98% of the work on building the bridge has been completed. The Ministry of Railways recently took to Twitter to post a video of several Indian national flags waving atop the bridge, post the inauguration ceremony. In the viral video, many joyful workers can be seen hoisting the tricolor to celebrate the historic occasion. With this, the deck of the bridge stands completed," reads the caption to this video of the world's highest railway bridge. It was complete with the emoji of the national flag of India. The caption to this video which is steadily gaining popularity on the platform, was also complete with the hashtag #HarGharTiranga.

The 1.3-km-long Chenab Bridge is located 359 meters above the riverbed. The span of the bridge is 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
