'How Long Will You Hide In Guwahati, Will Have To Come To Chowpatty': Sanjay Raut Takes A Dig At Rebel Leaders

Raut said in a mysterious tweet that the rebels will eventually have to leave Guwahati and return to Chowpatty, along with a picture of Deputy Speaker of the Maha Assembly Narhari Sitaram Zirwal.

In a jab at rebel Minister Eknath Shinde and his group on Sunday, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut questioned how long they would remain hidden in Guwahati. Raut said in a mysterious tweet that the rebels will eventually have to leave Guwahati and return to Chowpatty, along with a picture of Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly Narhari Sitaram Zirwal.

"How long will you hide in Guwahati? Aana hi padega.. Chowpatty.." Raut tweeted.

After Minister Eknath Shinde travelled to Surat with a few MLAs and then to Guwahati where he claimed to have the backing of 38 MLAs of the party, gaining the two-thirds majority in the Shiv Sena, the faction war in the Shiv Sena set off the political unrest in Maharashtra.

The Girgaum beach, popularly known as the Girgaum chowpatty, is located close to several important government buildings, including the Mantralaya (state headquarters), Vidhan Bhavan (legislative complex), Raj Bhavan, and the chief minister's personal home, "Varsha," PTI reported.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) administration led by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackery has collapsed as the majority of Shiv Sena MLAs have switched their allegiance to minister Eknath Shinde and are presently camped out in Guwahati.

In order to get written responses by the evening of June 27 to the petitions demanding their disqualification, the Maharashtra parliamentary office on Saturday issued "summons" to 16 of the renegade Shiv Sena MLAs, including Shinde.

Uddhav Thackeray has been given permission by the party's national executive to take action against the dissident MLAs.
