Heavy Rain Causes Waterlogging In Gondal City Of Rajkot, Commuters Face Harrowing Time — WATCH
Heavy rain in Rajkot's Gondal City causes waterlogging in several parts of the city, commuters face difficulties.
The city of Gondal in Rajkot, Gujarat witnessed heavy waterlogging in different parts of the area due to heavy rain. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light isolated rainfall is expected in Gujarat over the next 5 days. The weather department also stated that parts of Ahmedabad are also likely to observe thunderstorms and drizzles on Saturday. Heavy rain in the morning made life difficult for commuters as waterlogging blocked daily routes in Gondal City. The IMD’s monthly forecast, for Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi and parts of western UP and western Madhya Pradesh predicts the weather to be cooler than normal in May because of rains.

The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad on Friday settled at 38.9 degrees Celsius, which was 2.4 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius.
According to IMD, the weather in Ahmedabad is likely to remian partly cloudy with thundery developments towards evening/night. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 39°C.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature in the national capital, Delhi settled at 22.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, according to the IMD. A generally cloudy sky with very light rain and thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds is the forecast for the city on Saturday.
On Friday, untimely rains coupled with thunderstorms and gusty winds hit parts of Madhya Pradesh. IMD has predicted harsh weather with scattered showers for the next four days in the state. An orange alert warning of thunderstorms, lightning, hail and gusty winds ranging between 40 to 50 km per hour (KMPH) was also issued at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
A yellow alert has also been issued for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 40 to 50 KMPH at isolated places in the western part of the state.
