Gujarat Chose New Path Of Progress Amid 'Conspiracies' To Stop Investment: PM Modi In Bhuj

The Prime Minister said that there were plots to prevent investment in Gujarat, but the state selected a new route of prosperity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone for and launched a number of development projects worth around Rs 4400 crore in Bhuj, news agency ANI reported.

Addressing the event, PM Modi stated: "I remember when the earthquake happened, I reached here on the second day itself. I was not CM back then, just a worker. I didn't know how many people I would be able to help. But I decided to be there with you all."

"There were many who said Kutch won’t be able to recover from the 2001 earthquake but people there have changed the scenario." he added. 

The Prime Minister said that there were plots to prevent investment in Gujarat, but the state selected a new route of prosperity, PTI reported. 

Speaking about Development, PM Modi stated: "We may experience many shortcomings in India today, but we will be a developed nation by 2047."

PM Modi Inaugrates Various Development Projects

The Sardar Sarovar Project's Kachchh Branch Canal was inaugurated by the Prime Minister. The Canal's overall length is approximately 357 kilometres.

The Prime Minister inaugurated a portion of the canal in 2017, and the remainder is being inaugurated presently. The canal will aid in the provision of irrigation facilities in Kachchh as well as potable water in all 948 villages and 10 cities in the district.

The Prime Minister also inaugrated the Sarhad Dairy's New Automatic Milk Processing and Packing Plant, the Regional Science Centre in Bhuj, the Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre in Gandhidham, the Veer Bal Smarak in Anjar, and the Bhuj 2 Substation in Nakhatrana.
