New Delhi: As we near the end of 2021 which brought along a ton of surprises and leaps for the entire country, let's revisit the five biggest announcements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an effort to drive the Nation towards a sustainable and better path this year.

1. National Hydrogen Mission

The announcement of the launch of a new National Hydrogen mission was made on the occasion of Independence day. In his speech, PM Modi talked about how green hydrogen can be helpful for the country in managing the climate crisis. The major goal of this mission will be to transform India into a global hub for the production of green hydrogen and to create more jobs.

2. Repeal of farm laws

The three farm laws brought in September last year by the Government triggered dissatisfaction from farmers who protested for more than a year on the borders of Delhi for its abrogation. On the occasion of Gurupurab, PM Modi came forward to announce the repealing of three farm laws. In his address, he said the government failed to convince farmers of the benefits of those laws in the field of agricultural reform.

 3. Sainik schools for girls

 Another major announcement was made in the Prime Minister's address to the nation on Independence Day. The PM announced that from the session of 2021-2022, girls would also be allowed to attend Sainik Schools. 33 Sainik schools are operated in the nation by the Sainik Schools Society run by the Ministry of Defence. They were set with the aim of preparing the youth for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA). 

4. Gati Shakti - National Master Plan

The next big project announcement by the Prime Minister was of a National Infrastructure Master Plan - the Gati Shakti Yojana. It is a 100 crore plan to elevate the local entrepreneurs to a global level. This plan also aims to make an integrated and holistic pathway to our economy by breaking away all the obstacles.

5. 75 Vande Bharat Trains

This scheme was brought forward under the mass celebration banner of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. In the 75 weeks of celebration, PM Modi announced that 75 Vande Bharat trains would run to connect every place across the country.
