Major Fire Breaks Out In Godown In Delhi’s Tikri Border Area; No Casualty So Far
A massive fire was reported from a scrap godown in Tikri border area located in West Delhi in the early hours today.
New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a scrap godown in Tikri border area located in West Delhi in the early hours today. As per inputs from agencies the fire was reported around 2.50 AM and that no casualty has been reported so far. Reports also say that the godown is located Tikri-Kalan PVC market.
A total of 30 Delhi Fire Service (DFS) vehicles reached the spot to douse the fire.
"The fire broke out at the godown in Tikri border area. At least 30 fire tenders are present at the spot. Fire-fighting operation is still underway. No casualty has been reported so far," said DFS.
News agency ANI shared the ground images on its Twitter handle.
It is still not clear what caused the fire but the firefighters suspect that it may have been triggered by a short circuit. The incident occurred around 4.30 a.m. on the 6th floor of the 10-storied Atlas Building at Napean Sea Road in south Mumbai. The fire brigade team rushed to the spot and were able to restrict the blaze to two bedrooms which were damaged.
