However, son of the victim has rejected the claims made by Ghaziabad police.
Victim's son Bablu Saifi has said that a man named Ummed Pehelwan took his father to police station and lodged an FIR. However, Bablu said he was not aware as to how Ummed Pehelwan got to know about the incident.

As per reports, it was Ummed Pehelwan who lodged an FIR in this regard on June 7 against unidentified persons. Samad later took part in a Facebook Live with Ummed where he alleged that he was abducted and thrashed by the assailants who also forced him to chant 'Jai Shri Ram'.
ABP News has learnt that Police is looking for Ummed Pehelwan for questionning.
