Vijay, Bheem, Trishul — IAF's Rafale, Su-30 Perfectly Execute Flypast Formations Over Kartavya Path: Watch

President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag at the Kartavya Path on the 76th Republic Day. The flag hoisting was assisted by Indian Navy Officer Lieutenant Shubham Kumar and Lt Yogita Saini.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) fly-past over the Kartavya Path on Republic Day leaving the audience enthralled as the spectators watched the captivating performance as the roaring jets echoed in the sky. 

47 aircraft from the IAF participated in the Republic Day celebrations, including Sukhoi Su-30 MKI, Rafale, Dornier transport aircraft, Mi-17 transport helicopters and Apache attack helicopters. 

President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag at the Kartavya Path on the 76th Republic Day. The flag hoisting was assisted by Indian Navy Officer Lieutenant Shubham Kumar and Lt Yogita Saini. 

The flag unfurling was followed by the national anthem with a booming 21-gun salute given with 105 mm Light Field Guns, an indigenous weapon system, stationed along the iconic Kartavya Path. 

Here is all you need to know about the fly-past of the Indian Air Force:

Dhwaj Formation: The formation of the Mi-17 helicopters in the formation comprised of four choppers in the 'Kataar formation,' carrying national ensign.

Baaz Formation: The formation comprise three MiG-29 jets in the 'Vic' formation. 

Prachand Formation: Three Apache aircraft flew past in the 'Vic' formation. 

Tangail Formation: The 'Tangail' formation that flew past the Kartavya path include the heritage aircraft Dakota flanked by two Dornier Do-228 aircraft that flew past in the 'Vic' formation.

Rakshak formation: The Rakshak formation comprised three dornier aircraft from the Indian Coast Guard in the 'Vic' formation. 

Arjan Formation: The formation included one C-130 aircraft with two C-295 aircraft flying in the 'Vic' formation.

Netra formation: The formation included one AEW&C and two Su-30 aircraft which flew in the 'Vic' formation. 

Bheem Formation: The formation included one C-17 and two Su-30 aircraft flying in echelon in the 'Vic' formation.

Amrit Formation: The Amrit Formation comprised the five Jaguar aircraft in the 'Arrow-head' formation. 

Vajraang Formation: The formation features six Rafale jets in the 'Vajraang' formation. 

Trishul Formation: The formation featured three Su-30 aircraft flying in the 'Vic' formation.

Vijay Formation: In the Vijay Formation, a Rafale jet flew at 900 kmph behind the Trishul formation and carried out multiple turns.
