Fatehpur, U.P: 6-year-old raped and murdered after being lured with biscuit; Accused arrested

The accused has currently been admitted in the hospital, as he suffered several injuries after getting beaten up. Police are also patrolling the village to ensure the atmosphere of the village is calm.

Lucknow: In a bone-chilling incident, a six-year-old was raped and murdered in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur. The police have arrested her neighbor Farooq. According to the villagers, 24-year-old Farooq lured the child with a biscuit and took her to a secluded place. He thereafter raped and murdered her. While he was laying the dead body in a sack, a villager saw him do so. He was grabbed and thrashed and finally handed over to the police. The accused has currently been admitted in the hospital, as he suffered several injuries after getting beaten up. Police are also patrolling the village to ensure the atmosphere of the village is calm. Speaking on the incident, the deceased’s mother said, “My daughter was playing outside the house when Farooq lured her with food and took her away and did wrong to her. After this daughter’s body was found in a sack”. She also said that she went to Farooq’s house while looking for her daughter, but he said that she was not there. Speaking on the same, SP said, 6-year-old girl has been murdered by her neighbour. The girl’s dead body has been taken into possession and sent for post-mortem. The accused has been arrested. Only after the post-mortem report is out, it will be clear how the baby was killed.
