Earthquake Of Magnitude 4.5 Hits Gujarat's Kutch; Second In 24 Hours
Earthquake tremors have been felt in Gujarat's Rajkot for the second time in 24 hours. Jammu & Kashmir's Katra also has witnessed 5 earthquakes
New Delhi: Another earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale has hit Gujarat's Rajkot district on Monday afternoon.
This has happened only a day after an earthquake struck Rajkot.
The National Centre for Seismology informed that the earthquake on Monday arose 82 kilometres North West of Rajkot district. It had a depth of 13-kilometre and occurred at 12:57 p.m.
Fortunately, no damages or casualties have been reported so far.
On Sunday night, an earthquake of magnitude 5.8 on the Richter Scale struck Rajkot and several other parts of the state, including Ahmedabad. The tremors were felt in these parts of the state.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake had taken place 122 km north-northwest (NNW) of Rajkot at 8:13 p.m.
Since then, Katra in Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed five earthquakes of above 3.0 on the Richter Scale. The most recent one being reported on Monday morning at 6:31 am. It measured 3.9 on the Richter scale.
Recently, frequent earthquakes in Delhi NCR have also alarmed people. Now, Gujarat is also preparing to tackle the concern as the state is at a high risk of earthquakes, having witnessed 9 major ones in the past 200 years.
