'Wish Victory To All': Prez Murmu, PM Modi Lead Greetings On Vijayadashmi

Indian leaders including President Murmu and PM Modi extend Dussehra greetings, emphasizing the festival's message of victory over evil and the importance of justice, truth, and morality.

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi extended greetings on the occasion of Dussehra on Saturday.

"This is the festival of victory of justice over injustice. This festival is a symbol of our belief in the values ​​of truth and morality. On this auspicious occasion, we should take a pledge that we will take the side of justice even in the most difficult situations," said President Droupadi Murmu in an X post.

"I wish that this holy festival brings happiness and prosperity in everyone's life and that our country always moves forward on the path of development," she added. 

PM Modi also extended greetings on the occasion: "Best wishes to the countrymen on Vijayadashami. With the blessings of Maa Durga and Lord Shri Ram, I wish that all of you achieve victory in every sphere of life," . 

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi hoped that the festival would fill joy in everyone's life. "Heartiest greetings to all the countrymen on the great festival of Vijayadashami, the victory of justice over injustice and truth over untruth," he said. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the festival "inspires everyone to eliminate the evils within themselves and follow the path of Dharma and humanity."
