DND to remain toll free for now; SC asks CAG to do audit of the company

New Delhi: The toll bridge between Delhi and Noida will remain free for now. The Supreme Court has asked the CAG to do an audit of the DND company and submit its report in four weeks. Meanwhile, the order of Allahabad High Court, scrapping the toll will remain in force. Since long time, there have been allegations by many civil groups, RWAs and people that despite earning the cost of construction and making profit, the DND Flyway is not only continuing its toll but also increasing its rates. It is pertinent to mention here that not only through the toll, but, reportedly, through advertisements also DND Flyway has minted money. In August, the Janhit Morcha along with 20 other organizations had begun an indefinite protest spearheaded by ex-BJP minister Nawab Singh Nagar on Sunday.
