Diwali 2020: Mantras & Slokas To Chant During Laxmi And Kali Puja
Here's are the mantras that are recited during the Diwali while the traditional Lakshmi Ganesh Puja
The festival of lights, Diwali is just around the corner. In this festival, devotees worship Goddess Lakshmi and Kali on this day. Lakshmi Mantra also is known as Money Mantra. But Lakshmi Mantra is a prayer not only to gain financial prosperity but also to give us the intelligence to enlighten our minds with understanding. Lakshmi is the personification of all that brings good fortune, prosperity, and beauty.
There are three Lakshmi Mantras that are recited during the Diwali while the traditional Lakshmi Ganesh Puja:
Goddess Lakshmi Mantra - Lakshmi Beej Mantra Om Hreem Shreem Lakshmibhayo Namah.
Mahalakshmi Mantra - Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalalaye Praseed Praseed Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Mahalakshmaye Namah.
Lakshmi Gayatri Mantra - Om Shree Mahalakshmyai Cha Vidmahe Vishnu Patnyai Cha Dheemahi Tanno Lakshmi Prachodayat Om.
It is also worth mentioning that while chanting Goddess Lakshmi Mantra on Diwali, in Rosary Kamalgata mala or Sphatik mala should be used, while in flowers only rose or lotus should be used Chanting Lakshmi Mantra, during the Puja.
While the Hindus perform Lakshmi Puja during Diwali, the Bengalis perform Kali Puja. Kali Puja is an auspicious Hindu festival dedicated to the Goddess Kali. Along with Durga Puja, Kali Puja is the biggest goddess festival that is celebrated in the eastern part of the country.
Kali Puja is also known as Shyama (night) Puja or Mahanisha Puja, as the puja takes place in the middle of the night. It is believed that goddess Kali ward-off negative waves around you, cut down all kinds of impurities, and fill your house with happiness.
People worship Goddess Lakshmi on Amavasya Tithi during Diwali. However, the folks in West Bengal, Orissa, and Assam worship Goddess Kali on the new moon in the month of Kartik, the most important day of Diwali.

In order to perform Kali Puja, the following mantra should be chanted:
Kali Beej Mantra – “Om Krim Kali”
Kali Mantra - “Om Kring Kalikaye Namah”
Maha Kali Mantra - “Om Sri Maha Kalikayai Namah”
Kalika-Yei Mantra - “Om Klim Kalika-Yei Namaha”
Fifteen Syllable Kali Mantra - “Om Hrim Shreem Klim Adya Kalika Param Eshwari Swaha”
Kali Mantra for Worship - “Kring Kring Kring Hing Kring Dakshine Kalike Kring Kring Kring Hring Hring Hung Hung Swaha”
Maha Kali Mantra - “Om khargang chakra-gadeshu-chapa-parighan shulang bhushundIng shirahshankhang sanda-dhatIng karistri-nayan Ang sarbanga-bhushabritam. Ilashma-dyutimasya pada-dashakang sebe maha kalikang yamastou-chhaite harou kamalajye hantung madhung kaitavam”
