The ‘Desh Ka Mood’ survey was conducted with 10,000 participants after Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as a Member of Parliament (MP). This came a day after a court in Surat convicted the Congress leader in a four-year-old defamation case and sentenced him to two years in jail. However, the court has given him 30 days to appeal in any higher court.

As the Lok Sabha elections are less than a year away, ABP News conducted a survey to gauge public opinion on Rahul Gandhi, one of the prominent opposition leaders. The survey included questions about his disqualification from the Lok Sabha and his controversial remarks on democracy during his UK visit.

The margin of error in the survey is plus or minus 3 percent.

While there is anger in Congress over the sentence received by Rahul, in the survey, almost 43% of the people have justified his disqualification as an MP. 31% of people said that Rahul's statement was wrong, but he shouldn’t have been disqualified from the Lok Sabha.
