Desh Ka Mood: NDA To Get 330 Seats If Elections Held Today; 70% Want Modi As PM

New Delhi: After eight months of BJP government storming back to power and subsequently launching a series of bold measures, ABP News and CVoter conducted a survey to gauge the mood of the nation. It was predicted in the survey that if elections were held today NDA will bag 330 seats, 23 less than what it achieved in 2019, while the UPA would get 130 seats. The survey also revealed that the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has remained intact despite the massive social unrest in the country over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). While the Modi 2.0 government has been at the centre of controversies because of its bold yet contentious moves, ABP News found out in the ‘Desh Ka Mood’ survey (ABP-CVoter) that 56%of the total respondents were highly satisfied by the current Central government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) despite the political turbulence across the country over issues like CAA, NRC and the NPR. Also watch: What if elections were held today? According to the survey, NDA will bag 330 seats if elections are held today, 23 less than what it achieved in 2019 Lok Sabha polls. On the other hand, UPA may secure 130 seats, 34 more than what it got 8 months ago. The rest are tipped to get 83 seats. The survey also reveals that the NDA may register 44% of the votes, similar to what it got in 2019 polls. UPA may also bag 25% of votes which is equal to what it bagged last time around. Other parties are also slated to get 31% of the total votes. Popularity of PM Modi remains intact: The survey results show that Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to enjoy unfazed popularity with 70% respondents feeling satisfied under his premiership and want him to continue as prime minister. The second term of PM Modi has been marked by bold measures like abrogation of Article 370, the CAA and the NRC, all of which were debated vociferously, however, not impacting the popularity of the PM. The survey revealed that Prime Minister Modi still enjoyed a much-stronger supporter base than that of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi only 25.4% thought Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was suitable as the Prime Minister of the country. 52% of Delhiites highly satisfied by AAP government Ahead of the February 8 Delhi Assembly elections, the survey found out that a 52% respondents were highly satisfied with the functioning of the Aam Aadmi Party government. In terms of satisfaction level with the state government, Odisha topped the chart with a whopping 66.2% respondents asserting satisfaction with the current BJD government under CM Naveen Patnaik. The satisfaction quotient of people with the Chief Ministers of their states was maximum with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. 59% of the respondents felt that Kejriwal-led government is favorable for Delhi. Unemployment: Among the several issues faced by the country, nearly 17% of the surveyed lot found unemployment as the biggest issue. Watch: (The sample size achieved was 30,240)
