Delhi Unlock: Relaxation In Curbs Extended Till June 28; Restaurants & Bars Warned Over Covid Norms | Details

The relaxations in Covid-induced restrictions in the national capital have been further extended till 5 am of 28th June.

New Delhi: The relaxations in Covid-induced restrictions in the national capital have been further extended till 5 a.m. of 28th June. Restaurants and bars have been allowed to open for another week and further permission will be given based on an assessment of adherence to Covid appropriate behavior

Public parks, gardens, golf clubs, and outdoor yoga activities will be allowed. All markets, market complexes, and malls permitted to open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMS) issued a new notice to announced the extension of Unlock relaxations till June 28.

Following activities have been permitted as per the new order: 

  • Private offices allowed to function to the extent of 50% strength of staff between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Stand-alone shops and shops in residential areas permitted to open on all days without any distinction. Timings of shops under non-essential services have been restricted to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • All Markets, market complexes, and malls permitted to open between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Restaurants are allowed up to 50% of seating capacity from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Bars allowed up to 50% of the seating capacity from 12 noon to 10 p.m. for another week. They shall be closed if it is found that Covid-appropriate behaviour is not being followed, the government warned.
  • Marriage ceremonies at public places halls have been completely prohibited. However, they can take place in court or at home with not more than 20 people in attendance. DJ, sound system, catering, etc will not be allowed.
  • Funeral and last rites-related gatherings allowed up to 20 persons.
  • Delhi metro allowed up to 50% of seating capacity in metro coach, no standing passengers allowed.
  • Buses allowed to operate for intra-state movement with not more than 50% of seating capacity.
  • Public transport such as autos and rickshaws allowed up to two passengers. Taxis and cabs up to two passengers and maxi cab up to 5 passengers.
  • Religious places can open but without any visitors
  • Public parks, gardens, golf clubs, outdoor yoga activities allowed.
  • No restriction on the interstate and intrastate movement - no separate permission, approval or pass will be needed for them.

Restrictions

The following have not been allowed to open:

  • All schools, colleges and educational institutions.
  • Political, social, sports, religious, festival-related gatherings prohibited.
  • Swimming pools except for training of sportspersons participating in national or international tournaments.
  • Sports complex except for professional training.
  • Cinema, theatres and multiplexes.
  • Entertainment parks, amusement parks and water parks.
  • Banquet halls, auditoriums, assembly halls and business-to-business exhibitions.
  • Spas, gymnasiums and yoga institutes.
