Delhi LG Saxena, CM Arvind Kejriwal's Weekly Friday Meeting Scheduled Today After Three-Week Gap
Earlier, the weekly meetings between CM Kejriwal and LG Saxena was cancelled three times in a row, and four times in total for around one-and-a-half-months.
Amid the ongoing political battle between the AAP dispensation and the Lieutenant Governor’s office, the weekly meeting of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and LG V K Saxena is scheduled to be held today.
The tentative time for the meeting is 4 pm.
Earlier for around one-and-a-half-months, the weekly meetings between CM Kejriwal and LG Saxena was cancelled three times in a row, and four times in total.
Last week, the meeting was cancelled due to Kejriwal's two day visit to Gujarat, according to a statement issued by the party. “The weekly meeting of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena will not be held tomorrow. The meeting of the CM & LG has been put off for this Friday owing to the CM’s two-day visit to Gujarat starting tomorrow (Friday),” the statement had said, news agency PTI reported.
Every Friday, Saxena and Kejriwal meet to discuss issues concerning the growth of Delhi. The meeting on August 26 was cancelled due to a special session of the Delhi Assembly. The meeting on August 19 was likewise cancelled.
On July 22, Kejriwal also cancelled the meeting when Saxena requested a CBI investigation into suspected rule irregularities and procedural failures in the execution of the Excise Policy 2021-22.

Last month, the CBI searched 31 locations, including the house of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and charged him for violating Delhi excise policy 2021-22.
The LG had also requested a report from the chief secretary on the "excessive delay of 2.5 years" in responding on the CVC report on anomalies in classroom building in Delhi government institutions.
