The lawsuit was filed against the restaurant after its owner failed to obtain relief from the National Green Tribunal (NGT) from a demolition order issued by the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) in 2016.
Phogat was discovered partying at a nightclub just hours before her death. Her two colleagues, as well as Curlies' owner Edwin Nunes, were later arrested in the case. Nunes was later released on bail.
