Delhi Govt To Recommend Names Of Doctors, Healthcare Workers For Padma Awards 2021; Seeks Public Suggestion

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked the public to tell these names. People can send their mails to padmaawards.delhi@gmail.com by 15th August. 

New Delhi: Taking into consideration the commendable job done by doctors and healthcare workers in fight against Coronavirus Pandemic, Delhi government has decided to recommend the names of doctors and healthcare workers for this year's Padma awards. 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday made an announcement saying, "Delhi govt has decided to send the names of doctors and healthcare workers for this year's Padma awards. We want to tell them that we are thankful to them." 

The Chief Minister has asked the public to tell these names. People can send their mails to padmaawards.delhi@gmail.com by 15th August. 

Kejriwal informed that a screening committee has been formed that will screen the names in the next 15 days after that (after 15th August) and recommend names to the Delhi Govt. 

"We have made a screening committee that will screen the names in the next 15 days after that (after 15th August) and recommend names to the Delhi Govt. The final names will then be sent to the Central Government," CM Kejriwal said. 

Meanwhile, the daily cases of Coronavirus in the country have started to slow down. In the last 24 hours, India recorded 29,689 fresh cases of Covid-19 and 415 deaths.
