Robert Vadra feels 'vindicated' as Delhi court grants him anticipatory bail in money laundering case
Vadra, brother-in-law of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, is facing allegations of money laundering in purchase of a London-based property at 12, Bryanston Square worth 1.9 million pounds.

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to Robert Vadra in a money laundering case who said the court's verdict has "vindicated" his stand. Special Judge Arvind Kumar granted the relief to Vadra on furnishing a personal bond of Rs five lakh and a surety of like amount. The court said Vadra will not leave the country without prior permission. It also imposed certain conditions on him and said he shall not tamper with any evidence, influence any witness in the case. The court also observed that Vadra's office premises were searched on December 7 and 8, 2019 and voluminous documents, nearly 20,000 pages, were seized. It further noted that he had filed application for anticipatory bail on February 1 and on February 6 he was directed to join the investigation. "The accused has joined the probe as and when called by the investigating officer. Vadra had joined the investigation on nine occasions from February 6 to March 8 and has been interrogated for about 58 hours and answered the questions put to him," it said. Vadra, brother-in-law of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, is facing allegations of money laundering in purchase of a London-based property at 12, Bryanston Square worth 1.9 million pounds.
He took to Twitter to says he's "truly heartened that truth and justice have prevailed today." Despite facing 'false allegations', he said he will cooperate fully with all investigation.
