Delhi court directs ED to return both hard, soft copies of documents seized from Vadra's offices

Vadra is currently facing two probes from the investigative agency. One of the cases is pertaining to the procession of foreign assets, whereas the other is linked to the Bikaner illegal land case.

New Delhi: In a major relief to Robert Vadra, the Delhi court on Monday directed the Enforcement Directorate to provide Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in-law Vadra with both soft and hard copies of documents seized during raids at his offices last year. This came after Vadra filed a plea in Delhi court seeking the documents that ED seized from his office while conducting raids. Vadra is currently facing two probes from the investigative agency. One of the cases is pertaining to the procession of foreign assets, whereas the other is linked to the Bikaner illegal land case. Vadra has already faced several rounds of questioning from ED in both the cases. The questioning also took place on Monday. A day before being questioned by ED, Robert Vadra on Sunday said he may play "a larger role in serving the people" after the ongoing cases against him are over, sparking speculation that he could join politics as the BJP threw "Congress's prime ministerial candidate" barb at him. The Congress played down the suggestion that Vadra, the brother-in-law of party president Rahul Gandhi, wanted to join politics, saying he has long been associated with NGOs and worked for the society, and that it is everyone's duty to use their qualities to serve the people.
