I think they came to know about my plan and they did not let me go". The Chief Minister and his Aam Aadmi Party had come out in support of the Bharat Bandh announced by farmers protesting against the recently passed agrarian laws. "If I wasn't stopped, I would have gone and supported farmers in their Bharat Bandh call," CM Kejriwal said from his residence. "I am glad Bharat Bandh was successful. I prayed for protesting farmers while sitting inside," he added as he addressed party members. Earlier in the day, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia held a sit-in protest outside the Chief Minister's residence alleging Kejriwal has been put under house arrest by the Delhi police. "CM met farmers at Singhu border yesterday. He had said that we'll serve them like 'Sevadars' and support them. After he returned, Delhi Police barricaded his residence from all sides, putting him in a house-arrest like situation, at the behest of Home Ministry," said Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP leader. Denying the allegations, Anto Alphonse, DCP North said: "It is a general deployment to avoid any clash between AAP and any other party. CM has not been put under house arrest. This statement is absolutely incorrect. As being the CM of Delhi, he can move around wherever he wants". Bharatiya Janata Party accused CM Kejriwal of practising politics of "lies, deceit and propaganda" over the matter.
