Deepotsav Celebrations: Adityanath Govt Lights Up 5.51 Lakh Diyas In Ayodhya; Sets World Record

Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday set another world record by lightning as many as 5.51 lakh diyas or earthen lamps during the Deepotsava celebrations in Ayodhya on the occasion of Diwali.

Lucknow: Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday set another world record by lightning as many as 5.51 lakh diyas or earthen lamps during the Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya on the occasion of Diwali. Adityanath arrived in Ayodhya to participate in celebrations and over 5.51 lakh earthen lamps were lit at Saryu Ghat today evening as a part of Diwali celebrations. Addressing the gathering, UP CM extended Diwali wishes to people of the country and said that his government has always walked in the footsteps of Lord Ram. He also stated that "victory can be achieved" without breaching any boundary. UP CM said that PM Narendra Modi established Ram Rajya in the last five years in the country. He further highlighted all the initiatives carried out by the Central as well as the state government.  Adityanath termed Ram Rajya an ideal form of governance adding that there is no discrimination against the poor or people from any religion and everyone is treated equally. He further said that PM Modi’s noble initiatives touched the lives of all the people of the country. (Image: PTI) During the event, UP CM launched an all-encompassing emergency helpline number '112' to access police, fire brigade, ambulance and other services under the Emergency Response Support System. He also launched a senior citizen safety initiative 'Savera', an official release said. "This single helpline number 112 will reduce the response time. Route chart of 112 should be prepared and positioning at district, station level should be done," Adityanath said at the launch event.  He said people do not need to remember different numbers for different tasks now. All emergency services have been integrated for the task, he added. Adityanath further said that many states have adopted the emergency service 112, a changed name for 'Dial 100', which is being started in Uttar Pradesh. "We need to carry forward 112 as an integrated emergency service. Efforts should be made to promote it from today itself," he said.
Talking of 'Savera' initiative, Adityanath said in many places, especially, the urban areas, elderly couples live alone and they do not have any support. "Savera initiative will instill new confidence in them. We should also take similar initiative for women safety as well and set up cell at police station-level, linked to women safety," he said.

Along with Adityanath, UP governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, deputy speaker of Republic of Fiji Veena Bhatnagar and other ministers of the state attended the event. Ram Leela from seven countries was the main attraction on the occasion. Eleven tableaus of Lord Rama were showcased during the events. The whole program was declared as "state fair".
