'Dangerous' Man Who Entered India After Being Trained In Pak, China Detained by Cops In Indore

The 'dangerous' man who entered India after being trained in Pak and China, has been detained by police in Indore.

New Delhi:  Indore police has detained suspect 'Sarfaraz Memon', regarding whom NIA had emailed Mumbai Police and other agencies on Monday. He has been detained at Chandan Nagar police station of the city.

Sources told that during interrogation he said that he has been in Hong Kong for 12 years. The agencies have not yet found any terror link, but they are probing and not ruling out any theory. A team of Maharashtra ATS has also reached Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Maharashtra ATS also questioned him and is collecting all the relevant information.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) earlier on Monday informed Mumbai Police to be alert via email, saying that a dangerous man has entered the financial capital of the country. The investigating agency has been on alert since it received this input.

The NIA mentions the word "dangerous" in its email asking Mumbai Police to be alert. In its email, the NIA mentioned the name of the suspect as Sarfaraz Memon and said that he has reached Mumbai, sources told ABP News.

The nodal agency informed that this person is a resident of Indore, he has taken training in China, Hong Kong, and Pakistan and he is 'dangerous' for India.

It has also sent his Aadhaar card, driving license, passport, and LC copy to Mumbai Police via email. The Mumbai Police has further informed Indore Police about this.

This comes as the Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two persons on Saturday who were allegedly trying to go to Pakistan for weapons training. The statement released by the police informed that Khalid Mubarak Khan, 21, a resident of Thane West, Maharashtra, and Abdullah, 26, a resident of Tamil Nadu were arrested.

The duo was planning to illegally crossover to Pakistan for weapons training, the statement said further, as per news agency ANI.

It has also sent his Aadhaar card, driving license, passport, and LC copy to Mumbai Police via email.
