Coronavirus Haunts Lalu Prasad Yadav As Cop Deployed For RJD Supremo's Security Tests Positive

Patna: A continuous surge in the number of Coronavirus cases haunts every individual across India. The latest on the radar has come Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav as a policeman deployed for his security has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus infections. According to the reports, the cop had gone for a 12 day leave to his native place in Bihar. As per the state guidelines, he was placed under quarantine after he returned to Ranchi. While under the isolation period, his samples were taken for the test and the reports on Monday confirmed the man o be infected with COVID-19 virus.
As quoted in a Hindustan Times report, Sadar deputy superintendent of police Deepak Pandey said that the policeman who was turned Coronavirus positive today had gone to his village in Bihar 12 days ago. After his return, he was immediately sent for quarantine when he was found to be infected with the deadly disease.
The source said that since the person has not joined the duty, there is no threat to anyone. The patient has rather been sent for treatment at dedicated COVID-19 hospital in the district.

This could have been a major threat to Lalu Yadav who has been undergoing medical treatment in custody for over two years at the Ranchi Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Jharkhand. He is suffering from kidney, sugar and other diseases.
The former Bihar Chief Minister has been convicted in four fodder scam cases and awarded up to 14 years of imprisonment. He has already got bail in a fourth case related to the Rs 900-crore fodder scam.
