Corona Crisis: Here's How To Check Oxygen Status At Hospitals On 'Delhi Corona' App

Delhi recorded 311 Covid-19 deaths and 20,960 cases in a day with a positivity rate of 26.37 percent. This was the fourth consecutive day that the positivity rate has remained below 30 percent in the national capital.

In order to address the chaos around an acute shortage of oxygen in the national capital, the ''Delhi Corona'' app has now come to your rescue. ''Delhi Corona'' app has now added information on oxygen availability besides showing beds and ventilators at hospitals across the city.

The app has started updating information on oxygen availability status across various hospitals in the national capital on Wednesday.

From the Centre-run Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital to private Batra Hospital, where 12 patients died as a result of oxygen shortage, the app is now showing the update on oxygen supply across city hospitals.

According to the update on the app till Wednesday, there are 18 hours of oxygen left in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi. Life-saving gas is left for 12 hours supply at Batra Hospital.

The Jaipur Golden Hospital in the city has oxygen reserves for one day as on Wednesday's update on the app. On the night of April 23, 20 patients died due to lack of oxygen in this hospital. The Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan Hospital run by the Delhi government has oxygen left for eight hours and the Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital has seven hours left to supply oxygen.

Hospitals in the city and its suburbs have in the last few days often sent out SOS messages over depleting medical oxygen supplies.

Delhi recorded 311 Covid-19 deaths and 20,960 cases in a day with a positivity rate of 26.37 percent. This was the fourth consecutive day that the positivity rate has remained below 30 percent in the national capital.

The Delhi government said all-around efforts and aggressive Covid management have resulted in a dramatic decrease in the city's Covid positivity rate. "Within just 10 days, Delhi's Covid positivity rate has reduced by nine percent. On April 26, Delhi reported a positivity rate of 35 percent and on May 5, it came down to around 26 percent," it said.
