India Clocks 10,423 Covid Cases In Last 24 Hrs As Maharashtra Reports Lowest Cases Since May 2020

Corona Cases Update: India has registered a huge decline in the number of Coronavirus cases as the country reported 10,423 Covid cases, 15,021 recoveries and 443 deaths in the last 24 hours as per the Union Health Ministry.

Kerala
After reporting over 7000 Coronavirus cases in the last few days, Kerala has now registered 5,297 fresh COVID-19 cases and 368 related deaths in the last 24 hours. After the surge in daily Covid infections, the total caseload of the state rose to 49,73,954 and the fatalities to 32,049, the state government said on Monday.
With 7,325 more people recovering from the virus since Sunday, the total recoveries touched 48,64,506 and the active cases reached 76,786, an official press release said.
Of the 368 deaths, 78 were reported over the last few days, 232 were those which were not confirmed until June 18 last year due to lack of adequate documentation and 58 were designated as COVID deaths after receiving appeals based on the new guidelines of the Centre and Supreme Court directions, the release said. As many as 51,577 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, reported PTI.
Among the 14 districts, Ernakulam recorded the highest with 867 cases followed by Thiruvananthapuram (750) and Kohikode (637).

The tally of cases now stands at 66,11,887 and the death toll at 1,40,226, he said.
On May 2, 2020, Maharashtra had recorded 790 cases.
On Sunday (October 31), the state recorded 1,172 cases and 20 fatalities.
A total of 1,901 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the number of recoveries in Maharashtra to 64,52,486 so far, leaving the state with 15,552 active cases.
Maharashtra's case recovery rate now stands at 97.59 per cent and the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
