New Delhi: Delhi and the national capital region continue to shiver under intense cold wave as the minimum temperature reached 2.7 degrees on Monday. Dense fog has been blanketing the region since the wee hours, making the visibility zero at several places. Visibility was recorded zero at Safadrjung airport. Flight operations would be affected on Monday. “Due to bad weather, flight operations are affected. CAT III B compliant aircraft and pilots are currently able to land. Passengers are requested to stay in touch with the airline concerned for updated flight information,” Delhi Airport issued a statement. Foggy weather conditions prevailed at New Delhi railway station making 30 trains run late due to low visibility in the Northern Railway region. The dense fog covered Delhi's cantonment area and a minimum temperature of 2.5°C was recorded in the national capital on December 29. People took refuge at a night shelter near Anand Vihar Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) while homeless people were sleeping on the streets in Turkman Gate area.
