CM Mamata Cites Rajnath Singh & Sushma Swaraj In WB Assembly To Lash Out Against BJP MLAs

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee hit out at the BJP and said that the BJP leaders do not know decency and are uncourteous.

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that BJP MLA's do not know etiquette and decency and added that this was evident from the uproar during Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar's speech in the Assembly recently.

Dhankhar read out only a few lines of his 18-page address and tabled the speech on July 2 in the State Assembly amid the noisy ruckus of BJP members. The BJP MLAs were raising slogans over the post-poll violence in the state.

In her speech, Trinamool Congress President and Chief Minister Banerjee said that BJP MLAs in the state should not have created obstacles whilst the Governor's address was in progress.

The Chief Minister thanked the Governor for his address and said: "I have seen many BJP leaders from Rajnath Singh to Sushma Swaraj. However, this BJP is different. They do not know the culture, etiquette, decency and are not civilized.

BJP MLAs are constantly raising the issue of post-poll violence in the state. Even today BJP MLA's boycotted the house. On the issue of violence, Mamta said: "Those people who are speaking on violence after the elections, I want to tell them that after I took charge on May 5, several incidents have happened. Where I contested elections, people were threatened and told not to vote. I will not take the name of the place, the matter is under consideration. BSF and CRPF thrashed people. The matter is in court, I don't want to say anything."
