Chhattisgarh: Healthcare Worker Raped After Being Tied At Knifepoint. 3 Accused, Including Minor, Nabbed
The victim was tied and raped at knifepoint while she was alone at the facility in Chhipchhip village, in Chhattisgarh.
New Delhi: A healthcare worker was allegedly raped at knifepoint by four people including a minor at her workplace in Chhattisgarh's Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB) district, police said on Saturday.
The victim, lodged a complaint on Saturday morning after which the police swung into action. The 17-year-old and two of his accomplices were apprehended by the police while one is still absconding.
The incident took place at a sub-health centre in Chhipchhip village panchayat, under Jhagrakhand police station limits, on Friday afternoon.

According to news agency PTI, the 32-year-old victim was alone at the facility located on the outskirts of the village, when the minor and three of his associates barged in. They threatened her with a knife and tied her hands and legs, following which the 17-year-old raped her. The police said that the accused allegedly filmed the act before they fled the spot.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Nimesh Baraiya was reported by news agency ANI as saying, "The woman was posted in Chhipchhipi sub-health centre. She was alone at the time of the incident in the health centre. The accused arrived at the centre and forcibly tied her up. One accused raped her while two others supported the crime."
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Arms Act and the Information Technology Act.
According to ANI, the police arrested three so far and are on the look for the fourth accomplice.
"The police arrested three accused in the matter so far and efforts were on to nab one absconding accused," ASP Baraiya said. He said, "one accused was reportedly minor and his documents were being checked to verify his age. Further investigation was on."
