Chaos In Chandigarh-Ahmedabad IndiGo Flight As Aircraft Takes Off Within Seconds of Landing: Report
The incident occurred at 9:15 PM during what was expected to be a routine landing, leaving passengers surprised and perplexed by the unexpected touchdown-takeoff sequence.
Passengers on an IndiGo Airlines flight from Chandigarh to Ahmedabad were terrified on Monday night when their plane abruptly ascended shortly after making contact with the runway at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. As per media reports, the incident occurred at around 9:15 PM during what was expected to be a routine landing, leaving passengers surprised and perplexed by the unexpected touchdown-takeoff sequence.
"The plane began descending around 8.45 PM, but as soon as its wheels touched land, the pilot abruptly pulled up and the flight was airborne again. We were terrified because no one knew what had happened," Dr. Neel Thakkar, a Vadodara resident and one of the passengers on Flight 6E 6056, told The Times of India (TOI).
Thakkar added that the plane remained in the air for nearly 20 minutes before landing.
The passenger also told TOI that the "unexpected manoeuvre put the lives of over 100 passengers in danger," and that he had written to the airline, the DGCA, and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Thakkar stated in his email that upon arrival, he approached the pilot for clarification on the incident."Pilot Jagdip Singh responded that this was a routine communication issue and that the airline did not have ATC clearance to land the aircraft," Thakkar told TOI.
Thakkar questioned how the plane could have landed if Air Traffic Control (ATC) had not given permission. He also stated that he approached the duty manager of IndiGo Airlines, who advised him to send an email to the appropriate authorities in order to initiate an investigation. The passenger also stated that he expects a thorough investigation to be conducted into the matter.
