CBI Files Fresh Corruption Case Against RJD Chief Lalu Yadav, Raids Underway At Several Places

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a fresh case of corruption against Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. The investigating agency is conducting raids at 17 locations in Delhi and Bihar related to the RJD supremo, reported news agency ANI.
According to the news agency, the new case filed against the former Bihar Chief Minister is related to 'land for railway job scam'.

Lalu Yadav's wife Rabri Devi, daughter and other family members have also been named accused in the new case by the central investigating agency.
Meanwhile, RJD leaders and workers have come out on the streets of Patna protesting the ongoing CBI raids at multiple locations of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav.
Prabhunath Yadav, brother of Lalu Yadav slammed CBI's move and called it a deliberate attempt to trouble the RJD chief.
"It is unfortunate that a person who is ill is being deliberately troubled like this. It is well known who is behind this," said Prabhunath Yadav as reported by ANI.
The 73-year-old veteran leader was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court last month in the RS 139 crore Doranda Treasury scam case.
