Caught On Camera: Delhi Man Hits Barking Dog, Its Owners With Iron Rod. Case Filed
The dog’s owner Rakshit aged 25 years tried to rescue his dog but the man attacked the dog again.
New Delhi: A resident of Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area, who was annoyed with his neighbour’s barking dog, ended up allegedly hitting three people and the dog with an iron pipe, the police said on Monday, reported news agency PTI. It all started when one of the pet dogs of a resident of Block-A of Paschim Vihar started barking at a man named Dharamvir Dahiya while he was taking a stroll along with some stray dogs, according to the police.
According to police, one of the pet dogs of a resident of Block-A of Paschim Vihar started barking at him. Suddenly Dahiya picked the dog with its tail and threw it away. The dog’s owner Rakshit aged 25 years tried to rescue his dog but Dahiya attacked the dog again but it bit him. This triggered an argument between the residents and after a while, Dahiya came back to the spot with an iron pipe and hit the dog on its head, according to the senior police officer.

The injured are stable but the dog has a clot in its head and will be taken to a veterinarian, informed the dog owner as per the ANI tweet. The heinous act has been recorded on the CCTV camera where the attacker can be seen hitting the neighbours.

Dahiya also attacked another neighbour Hemant aged 53 years and Rakshit with the pipe. Later he entered the house of Rakshit to get back pipe used and in the process, hit a female named Renu aged-45 years, the officer informed. The injured people have been medically examined while Dahiya got himself checked in Park Hospital, Khyala due to the dog bite, added the official.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Sameer Sharma said that on the statement of Rakshit, a case was registered under sections 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 451 (trespass) of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act at Paschim Vihar East police station.
Investigation of the case is in progress and facts are being verified, he said.
