Modi Cabinet Reshuffle: New Union Ministers Asked Not To Leave Delhi Till August 15
The newly formed Union Cabinet Ministers have been instructed to remain in Delhi till August 15th and understand their responsibilities in a better way.
Modi cabinet Reshuffle: A day after the reshuffle of the Union Cabinet, a number of newly appointed ministers took charge of their duties, including Mansukh Mandaviya — the new Health Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw — the new Railways and IT minister, and Anurag Thakur — the new Information and Broadcasting minister. The newly appointed ministers also met BJP President JP Nadda at his residence and are later slated to have a meeting with PM.
Now sources have revealed that the newly formed Union Cabinet Ministers have been instructed to remain in Delhi till August 15th and understand their responsibilities in a better way. Sources also said that along with this, these ministers have been asked not to carry out any celebrations keeping in view of the Covid pandemic. The ministers have also been strictly instructed on a zero-tolerance policy on corruption by the Modi government.

The total strength of the Council of Ministers is now 78, including the Prime Minister.
The current reshuffle has boosted the number of cabinet ministers from 21 to 30 and the number of junior ministers from 23 to 45. There are fewer junior ministers with Independent charge - the figure has dropped from nine to two.
PM Modi to chair Union Cabinet, Council of Ministers meeting today
The Union Cabinet and the Council of Ministers will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a major expansion and reshuffle of his ministers.
The two meetings will be held back-to-back. While the cabinet meeting is likely to take place at 5 pm, the Council of Ministers may meet at 7 pm.
It is usual for the Prime Minister to convene meetings of the Union Cabinet as well as the Council of Ministers after a reshuffle or expansion exercise.
