India returns Pakistani intruder who was held in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba

The intruder was apprehended by BSF troops in Ramgarh sector yesterday.

Jammu: A Pakistani intruder, who was arrested on Friday along the international border (IB) in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, was returned to Pakistan as a goodwill gesture. The Border Security Force (BSF) who had arrested the man returned him As a Goodwill gesture and maintaining peace and tranquillity at International Border today at about 1540 hrs. BSF released the Pakistan National Mohammad Ashraf healthy and sound. The Pakistani Rangers also appreciated the humane approach of Border Security Force. The intruder was apprehended by BSF troops in Ramgarh sector on Friday. shraf, a resident of Boitah-Narowal area of Punjab, was carrying Rs 12,000 in Pakistani currency and was questioned by the BSF officers. He said alert BSF personnel noticed the person and caught him soon after he sneaked into this side from Pakistan.  He was arrested and is being interrogated.
