BSF Personnel And Pakistan Rangers Exchange Sweets On Diwali
According to the photos released along with a statement by the BSF Gujarat frontier, BSF personnel can be seen exchanging sweets with Pakistan Rangers at various border pillars.
New Delhi: On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers exchanged sweets and wishes on Thursday on the international borders of Gujarat and Rajasthan, PTI reported.
Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also extended the greetings of Diwali to the people of the state.
According to the photos released along with a statement by the BSF Gujarat frontier, BSF personnel can be seen exchanging sweets with Pakistan Rangers at various border pillars.
Apart from this, BSF personnel can be witnessed exchanging sweets and Diwali wishes with Pakistan Rangers at Attati border in Punjab.

"Such exchange of sweets and wishes on festivals of national importance enhance mutual harmony, brotherhood and also plays an important role in maintaining friendly and peaceful atmosphere along the border between two border guarding forces,” the statement was quoted by PTI in its report.
"May this Diwali festival be illuminated by the light of twinkling lamps and the new year bring happiness, prosperity and new energy in everyone’s life," Gujarat Governor Devrat tweeted on Thursday.

While extending the greetings of Diwali and Gujarati new year that falls on the next day of Diwali, CM Bhupendra Patel said, "Festivals and festivities bring in freshness and new consciousness in the society."
